Sterling Silver Cut Out Pendant Project – Sawing Basics

Class Level:  Beginner

Join Angela in the studio for this morning workshop to learn the basics of working with the jeweler’s saw and create a cut out sterling silver pendant in a shape of your choosing.  You can make a heart, a crescent moon, butterfly, tear drop, you name it!  Not sure what you’d like to make?   Templates will be available to choose from and trace.  Bring your Mom, your best firned or come and try a skill on your own.  This is a beginning level introduction to silversmithing and the basics of sawing metal with a jeweler’s saw.

No experience necessary.  Come join in on the fun.

Project includes your choice of a 16”, 18” or 20” box chain.


Encaustic Wax

Encaustic wax is the use of melted beeswax and damar resin to create beautiful, textured paintings.  Safety procedures will be covered.  A variety of heated tools and embedded materials will be provided so that students may experience with this unique medium.

Kid’s Create:  Blackout Poetry (ages 11-18)

This class is designed for youth ages 11-18.

Come learn how to get in the mindset to create.  Engage in mindfulness activities and being working on a blackout poetry piece.  Blackout poetry is a form of expression with minimal artistic ability.  Books will be provided and will be sent home with the participant to continue their poetry exploration.


Pallet Board Sign:  Chalk Couture Silkscreen Printing

Create a beautiful silkscreen print on a painted 12×18 pallet board sign. Choose one of eight different transfer pattern designs and colors used for printing.

Dot Mandala Coasters

You will learn the basics of Dot Mandala while making a set of four coasters.  Coasters will be finished with triple thick varnish and cork backing.


Stitched by Hand

In this handwork class we will learn techniques to add trendy hand stitching to your quilted projects.   We will assemble a mini quilt sandwich and learn how to hand quilt with a variety of stitches.  We will experiment with different weights of thread and look at ways to add hand stitching to the binding as well.  Visible stitching adds a unique finish to your quilts, and is a relaxing, meditative practice to incorporate into your sewing routine.


Creating Mosaic Jewelry

Easy Watercolor Florals for Beginners

Students will be introduced to water color techniques on how to paint a basic floral composition.
