Art Bag1:  Creative Canvas Art / Wine Bag
When:  Saturday February 16th, 10:30 am -12:00 pm
Instructor:  Tanya Horn
Fee:  $  55 All supplies included; additional bags available for purchase*
Class Level:  Beginner

Have fun creating a canvas ‘art’ bag. You can choose from a variety of bags to add your own flair with acrylic paints, material, ribbon and lots of embellishments. Everything you need to design your bag is provided, with assistance for ideas and guidance to add creativity to your bag.

*Students are not required to bring any materials, but if they wish to bring their own glue gun, fabric / ribbon they like, other embellishments that they wish to use, they can.



2:  Bead Soup Wrap Bracelet (or necklace)
When:  Saturday February 16th, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Fee:  $40 – All supplies included
Class Level:  Intermediate
Hand-stitched wrap bracelet that can also be worn as a necklace.  Each kit is unique and includes a handmade glass bead by Jodie!  If you can stitch a button, you can make this bracelet.



3:  Sketching with Stitching
When:  Saturday February 16th, 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm
Instructor:  Rachel McGough
Fee:  $15 – Class Fee, $45 Kit Fee payable to instructor
Class Level:  Beginner

Each student will receive a handmade stitchbook made from a vintage quilt and fabric for a portable stitch & sketch book. (Rachel will demo additional books.)  During class, students will utilize the book to stitch using a variety of techniques and inspiration.  A wonderful treasure will be taken home!

4:  Let’s Make Triangles
When:  Saturday February 16th, 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

Class Level:  Intermediate


Students will learn the basics of making peyote triangles.  Ideas and samples for using and designing with finished triangles will be shown and discussed.

Supply list:  Beading needles, 2 colors of minimum size 11 delicas or seed beads, small scissors beading mat, and lighting if desired.

5:  Oil & Cold Wax Painting

In this 2-hour session of creative play, you’ll explore color, pattern, design and abstraction with oil paints mixed with cold wax medium, a product gaining popularity for its versatility and range.  Lori will show you tools & techniques, and you’ll create pieces on archival paper.

Students are not required to bring tools/materials, but are welcome to. For example, you may bring household items that might make interesting patterns or textures.  Pieces of burlap, corrugated cardboard, bubble wrap, shelf liner, ribbons and string can all be pressed into the paint surface.  Tools such as small trowels or dough scrapers can be used to apply paint or create textures.   If students have art supplies such as oil paints in colors they particularly like, or tools such as print making brayers or palette knives that they enjoy using, they may bring those too.



Bible Journal 7Class 6: Creative Journaling / Bible Journaling

Class Level:  Beginner

This class is for any age and any art level. We will use color pencils, markers, stickers and more to embellish our Bible or journal. All supplies are included and there is lots of instruction and tips, too!

Supplies:  students should bring a blank journal or bible journal, pencil and any markers, colored pencils, crayons, water colors, washi tape, etc. that you would like to try.

7A:  Finger Knitted Headband

Students will learn how to knit these super cute and toasty wool ear warmers.  The design can be customized to include a detachable flower or other accent piece.   Michele will have yarn on hand to choose from so students only need their fingers and their imaginations!  Best of all . . . NO prior knitting experience required!  Grab a girl friend and come learn to finger knit!


7B:  Glass Lampworking – Bobbin Beads OR Beginning Lampworking

Class Level:  Intermediate

Calling all glass lampwork artists!  Join Lori at retreat to learn how to make adorable glass beads on bobbins!  Yes, glass beads on a sewing machine bobbin.  Or, if you are new to glass, come learn the basics.

Supplies:  Torch with quick connects, soft glass, marvers & tweezers.  Optional items to  embellish your bead:  frit, enamel (bring mask), fine silver, etc.


8:  Farmhouse Barn Quilt

Painting & creating beautiful farmhouse barn quilts.  A variety of design and color choices using milk and chalk paint to create a beautiful 25″ x 25″ framed rustic statement piece for your home.



9:  Egyptian Coil Earrings

Students will earn how to make these beautiful Egyptian coil style earrings in sterling silver.  Michele will have a selection of beads and crystals for students to choose from for the bottom dangle.  Skills learned will include some basics of wire work like making tight coils, using headpins and hammering.  Time permitting the instructor will also show how to make ear wires.




10:  Make & Take Spa Party

A great class to learn about and try new ways to use essential oils by making several of Stephanie’s favorite homemade recipes for you to take home – all natural cleaners, body butter, bath salts and more!

Soldered Pendants11:  Stamped Solder Bracelet

Class Level:  Beginner to Intermediate

Learn the technique of making stamped solder pendants to be incorporated into a beautiful beaded chain bracelet.  A variety of pre-made beaded chains will be available to choose from or learn to make your own!  Kelli will also demonstrate how to create your own unique chain.  Students interested in making their own beaded chain are asked to bring round nose pliers, flat nose plier (2 pairs preferred) and wire cutters along with their favorite beads.


tea towels12:  Farmhouse Tea Towels

Create several trendy farmhouse-style tea towels for your home.  Students will learn a fun new way to do screen printing in this class.  Several styles and designs to choose from.

With a touch of vintage, learn to make these soldered slide glass pendants which are perfect to preserve a treasured piece of lace or paper ephemera.  No prior soldering experience required.

A variety of laces and vintage postcards will be available for your project, or bring you own. Slides are 1” x 3” in size.
