Creating your own decorative papers for use in your artwork is so fun! You get to pick the exact colors, shapes, lines, and patterns for your papers. We’ll have stencils, stamps, watercolor, acrylics, etc. to use for making random marks. Use these fresh papers for other workshops this weekend!
All supplies are provided for the class, but students are encouraged to bring along any items with interesting patterns or designs—perfect for tracing, stamping, or adding a personal touch to your project!
Intricate Wire and Gemstone Earrings

Learn to craft elegant earrings using wire and gemstones in this beginner-to-intermediate jewelry class. The class will use simple jewelry tools, various sizes of wire and beautiful gemstones.
Items to bring: If you have these items, please bring jewelry, hand tools (wire cutters, round nose pliers, flat nose pliers)
Rhythm & Groove Abstract Painting

This abstract acrylic painting can be made in any color scheme you desire. Gold paint at the end makes a great sparkle! This is a fun project for your own space, or to give as a gift. We will listen to music to gain inspiration for the doodling pattern through rhythm. Then we add paint and play with the pattern/texture in each shape painted on canvas. This painting is about the balance of activation and rest. Such a metaphor for life, eh? Using music, aromatherapy, light chair stretching and guided visualization, the creative process is not just a class, it’s a relaxing journey! Join us! I am saving you a seat.

Delight in the vintage charm of letterpress printing by creating a set of posters using a collection of historic wood type and advertising cuts. We will explore the tactile beauty of letterpress by mixing ink, learning to compose type, and run the presses. We will typeset a short phrase of your choosing, fun pun, mini-quote, or a six-word memoir! Each participant will print their own unique designs, then work collaboratively on a multi-layered printed poster exchange.
The cost of the workshop includes materials, instruction, and take-away prints.

Bead a pen with felted Love Beads! Take a bead-it-yourself pen (loads of groovy colors), a skewer, a touch of needle felting and a little wet felting and you’ll have your own love beads to decorate your pen! No Experience Necessary. All Supplies Included.
Students are asked to bring scissors.
Additional pens will be available for $10.
Beginning Book Folding

Learn the basics of book folding to create unique art! This class covers choosing patterns, modifying designs to fit your book, and mastering folding techniques.
**Students should bring a hardback book to fold (Minimum of 575 pages; minimum height of 7.5 inches / 18.5cm).
