Hot Pins & Cold Connections: Tin Jewelry

Turn up the heat with low-fire enamel head pins, then chill out with cold connection techniques as you transform recycled metal tins into fabulous, one-of-a-kind earrings. This hands-on class is perfect for beginners, curious tinkerers, and anyone ready to level up their jewelry-making skills. We’ll celebrate creativity, sustainability, and the pure joy of crafting bold, beautiful wearable art.

Each student will work on a pair of earrings, all materials included.

Painting Roosters

Learn to paint a vibrant rooster! In this class, you’ll learn how to use bold brushwork and dynamic colors to capture the rooster’s unique personality and form. We’ll focus on layering paint for depth and creating a variety of brushstrokes to mimic the texture of feathers. No prior painting experience is needed—just a desire to have fun and create a colorful piece of art.

What do you get when you combine a donut of bubble wrap, some luscious fibers, a little soapy water and friction? Why a double petal flower with a 3D center! You’ll have the option of a brooch finding or a hair clip to finish your flower and several petal options depending on how you use your scissors! Beginner Friendly.

Beaded Mini Notebook Cover
Class Level:  Beginner

Sew together a fun mini notebook cover and decorate with a beaded heart. The project kit includes: faux leather notebook parts, embroidery and bead needles, embroidery thread, seed beads, glitter pen and notebook. There is no additional kit fee. Instructor provided tools include: scissors, bead mats, bead scoops, extra needles and needle threaders.

Items you may want to bring:  Task lighting, magnifying glasses or your readers.

Lampwork Glass Bead Making (Two Sessions)

Start with beads as your introduction to the world of melting glass. Learn how to safely operate a torch, melt glass and create several beads. Plus, simple decorating techniques. All materials and equipment are included. Your beads will be kiln annealed and available to pick up the next day at Crystal Forge.

Feather & Fringe

The symbolic meaning of a feather is “one who overcomes obstacles.” Your handmade decor will call you to remember your perseverance each time you look up. Made with all natural materials, this macrame hanging will add warmth and texture to your space. Using aromatherapy, music, light chair stretching, and guided visualization open us up to a more relaxing creative journey.

Create a more detailed book folding design with the cut-and-fold method! This class covers choosing patterns, modifying designs to fit your book, and combination cut-and-fold techniques!

**Students should bring a hardback book to fold (Minimum of 575 pages; minimum height of 7.5 inches / 18.5cm).

Mixed Media Mania

Come learn techniques of overlapping, main subject/focal point, and add collage papers, tissue, maps, etc to your artwork. Have a main subject in mind and rummage through my box of collage items to create your masterpiece! Types of media available for you to play with during the workshop; watercolor, stamping, printing, stickers, paper adhesion, stencils, and others as needed.

If you’d like to use personal items, please bring them. Ideas could be: photos; old artwork; memorabilia that is paper, like maps, tickets, receipts.

Crochet a No Fuss Fish, Beginner Level Class

Learn the Japanese art of Amigurumi, crocheting small soft creations. In this course you will learn the basic stitches to create your very own crocheted “pet” fish, including single crochet, increase, and decrease stitches. This section is for beginners who have little to no previous experience with crochet. Class fee includes all materials and tools to create your fish and its habitat.

Let Your Soul Shine: Creative Fabric Collage

Let Your Soul Shine is all about crafting with intention—each fabric scrap and embellishment becomes a reflection of your current mood, your personal mantra, or your inner sass. Using a curated selection of colorful fabrics, hand-made fabric labels, stamps, & pens, you’ll assemble a radiant sunburst collage that speaks from the soul. Feeling bold and joyful? Go wild with color. Seeking calm and clarity? Focus on mindfulness and self-care. Want to add a cheeky twist? Snarky quotes are welcome! Come set your intentions, stir your spirit, and let your soul shine—however it wants to. All collage-making supplies are provided. No sewing is required. You may choose to finish your collage at home by framing it, mounting it on canvas, or transforming it into a quilted wall hanging. (Note: finishing supplies such as canvases, backing, and batting are not included.)

Get your groove on in this funky, craft class where vintage vibes meet playful design! We’ll repurpose old vinyl records as bold backdrops and jazz them up with colorful buttons to create eye-catching art. Perfect for beginners and button lovers of all ages. Come boogie with us and craft your own record-breaking masterpiece!

Lookin’ Groovy Flannels, Totes and Denim!

Join the peace, love and flowery fun as Connie shows you how to stencil on fabric with chalk ink!   The class will begin by stenciling a design on a 5″ mini tote bag for a practice piece, followed by instruction on using a heat press to set the ink.   Next, you’ll get to select one flannel shirt from a wide variety of colors and sizes to customize with a stencil design.  The flannel shirts to choose from include some that already have bleached designs to add an extra layer of GROOVY that you are gonna love!  

This $45 Class includes:  Use of instructor’s wide variety of stencil designs, chalk ink colors & tools.  One 5″ mini tote bag and One Flannel Shirt to decorate and take home!

**Keep in mind, any chalk ink that accidentally gets spread outside of the stencil area, will become a permanent mark on your garment and/or tote bag.
